A recent prospective case study revealed that 80 % of „No-Option“ patients can avoid amputation thanks to our minimally invasive TTT-Treatment (Transverse Tibia Transport).

„[...] Among the demographic characteristics, the average age was
65,5 years old and 56,25% were male. Previous amputation was
present in 93,3% of the cases, comorbidities in 93,3%, previous
osteomyelitis in 100%, Wagner classification average grade was
3,92 (SD 0,47), and complications during treatment in 26,7% of the
cases. Regarding the primary outcome, 20% (N= 3/15) of the cases
progressed to major amputation. Regarding the secondary outcome,
80% (N=12/15) of the cases had improvement in collateral circulation.“

We at Cybion have always believed in the TTT-Technique. We have now been using it for almost five years and have gained a lot of experience. Over these past five years, we have learnt more and more about patient selection and aftercare. An increasing number of surgeons are taking an interest in this treatment method and offering it to „No-Option“ patients.
We would like to thank the authors of this paper for the new insights. There is definitely more to come since we are only starting to scratch the surface of this new method! 🔬
